Mr. Tej B Gurung, 1st Vice President of TAAN and Tek B Mahat, CEO of TAAN attended the program titled ‘ Interpretation for Tourist Guides in World Heritage Sites for ASEAN and South Asia Countries held at The Berkeley Hotel, Pratunam,Bangkok, Thailand from 28 to 30 March, 2017. TAAN to launch protest against NTB if its demands are not met

Trekking Agencies’ Association of Nepal (TAAN) has submitted a charter of demands at the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Kathmandu, stating clearly that it would announce series of protest programs if it demands are not addressed by February 6. Issuing a statement, TAAN said that the NTB has not released the former’s share from the TIMS Fund citing a letter issued by the International Relations and Labor Committee of legislature-parliament dated April 1, 2015. A total of 25 trekking professionals participated in the training which was conducted by Photo Journalists (PJ) Club Nepal. Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN) and Kathmandu Environmental Education Project (KEEP) are jointly operating porter clothing centers in Kathmandu and Lukla. The two organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect amid a ceremony held in Kathmandu on Friday.
