A Trip to the Foot of Mount Everest
Everest Base Camp is 5,364 meters (17,598 feet) above sea level. Reaching it is a proud moment for many people. From the time you land in Lukla, you’ll see huge peaks, colorful prayer flags, stone carvings, and friendly Sherpa villages. The trail passes famous places like Namche Bazaar and Tengboche, crosses rivers, goes near glaciers, and finally takes you to the base of Mount Everest (8,848.86 meters).
Why This Trek is Special
Amazing Views: See giant peaks like Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Nuptse.
Local Culture: Learn about Sherpa traditions, visit old monasteries, and walk past prayer stones and towers.
A Big Dream: Many people around the world dream of reaching Everest Base Camp once in their lifetime.
Is the EBC Trek for You?
This trek can change your life—but it’s not easy. You need to prepare and be in good health. The good news is you don’t need to be a pro athlete. If you are healthy, determined, and train a bit, you can do it.
How Hard Is It?
The Everest Base Camp trek is “moderate to hard.” It’s challenging, but possible with preparation. Here’s what to expect:
No Climbing Skills Needed: You don’t need ropes or special gear.
Daily Walking: About 5–7 hours a day. Some days are shorter, others longer and steeper.
Get Fit First: Strong legs and good stamina help. Practice with hiking, jogging, swimming, or stair climbing for a few months.
Challenging Trails: Rocky paths, bridges, snow, and ups and downs. The high altitude can make it harder.
Training Tip: Hike with a backpack, slowly adding weight. If possible, train at higher places.
Most people ask, “Can I really do this?” For most, the answer is yes. If you have average fitness, a positive attitude, and love adventure, this trek could be one of the proudest moments of your life.
View DetailThe Annapurna Circuit Trek is more than just a walking trail—it’s an adventure that can change you. You start in green, warm forests, then walk through flower-filled mountain meadows, and later reach dry, windy valleys close to Tibet. The way the land, weather, people, and height change along the way is something you won’t find in many other places in the world.
On this trek, you’ll cross swinging bridges high above fast, icy rivers. You’ll watch the sunrise over giant mountains taller than 8,000 meters. You might drink tea with Gurung grandmothers in old stone villages. You’ll pass through the lands of Thakali traders and hear Buddhist monks chanting in windy mountain monasteries in Manang.
But this journey is about more than just what you see—it’s also about what you feel and learn. Crossing the Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters is tough. It challenges your body and mind, teaching you patience and strength. The people you meet along the way can turn this trek into one of the most meaningful adventures of your life.
If you want to reach a personal goal, discover new cultures, and walk one of the most varied and beautiful long trails in the world, the Annapurna Circuit Trek is for you.
View DetailLangtang Valley is a quiet place in the Himalayan mountains, only one day’s drive north of Kathmandu. It’s different from the busy trails of Everest and Annapurna. Fewer people know about it, but it’s full of amazing views and deep local culture.
You’ll walk through forests of colorful rhododendron trees, green fields where yaks graze, and valleys with icy rivers. As you go higher, you’ll start to see the giant white peaks of Langtang Lirung, Dorje Lakpa, and Gangchenpo. But it’s not just the mountains that make this trek special—it’s the people.
The Tamang people live here. They have Tibetan roots and still keep their old traditions. In villages like Lama Hotel, Langtang, and Kyanjin Gompa, you’ll see prayer flags blowing in the wind, stones carved with prayers, and hear chanting from old monasteries. You might drink butter tea inside a warm, smoky wooden house or watch women spin prayer wheels. The Tamang are kind, strong, and proud of their way of life, and their welcome will make you feel at home.
Langtang Valley is a peaceful place where nature and culture live together. If you want beautiful views and real human connections, it’s more than a trek—it’s a journey into the heart of Nepal.
