Manaslu Circuit Trek

MANASLU CIRCUIT TREK OVERVIEW

The 17-day Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal commences upon your arrival in Kathmandu followed by a sightseeing tour of the historic Kathmandu valley. You’ll get to explore some of the most popular UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Swoyambhunath. Afterward, the trip advances 141km northwest to Soti Khola in the Gorkha district. The trek officially begins at Soti Khola and gradually advances along the forested path inside the Manaslu Conservation Area.

The anti-clockwise trail passes through numerous ethnically rich villages namely Macha Khola, Jagat, Deng, Namrung, and Sama Gaon to Manaslu Base Camp (4440m). After exploring the base camp area, you’ll trek west to Samdo and Dharmasala villages. The trek moves further west and advances into Annapurna Conservation Area via the high pass of Larkya La Pass (5,160m), also the highest point of the trek. The trek concludes at Syange village. You’ll descend through Bimthang, Tilje, and Tal villages en route to Syange.

Some of the scenic Himalayas visible throughout the trail are Himalchuli (7893m), Ganesh Himal (7422m), and the mighty Manaslu Peak. During this trek, you will be required to carry the permits for both the Manaslu Conservation Area and the ACAP region. Manaslu Circuit Trek is also considered the best alternative for Annapurna Circuit trekking. This trek is accessible during the spring (Mar-Jun) and autumn (Sep-Nov) seasons.
