Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a most famous trekking trail for trekkers in Nepal aslo known as ABC trekking. The peaks of the western portion of the great Annapurna Himal, including Himchuli, Annapurna South, Fang, Annapurna1, Gangapurna, Annapurna III and Machhapuchhare, are arranged almost precisely in a circle about 10 miles in diameter within a deep glacier-covered amphitheater at the center.
The Annapurna Base Camp Trek begins from Jhinu Danda, which takes about four-hour scenic jeep drive from Pokhara, offering fabulous views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) along the way. From Jhinu Danda, a steady 3 hours ascent through lush forests and stone steps leads to the beautiful Gurung village, Chhomrong. From here, we officially enter the Annapurna Sanctuary and continue our journey toward Annapurna Base Camp.
