Trekking Agents Association of Nepal (TAAN) organized an
interaction programme on various issues related to the trekking
industry.
Speaking at the gathering, the participating TAAN members showed
their serious concerns over various issues being faced by them
while handling groups to the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) of
China. The Chinese operators have proposed a considerable rise in
package prices without giving pre-information to the Nepalese
counterparts. They also opposed the process implementing the
provision of charging additional fees for group handling Nepali
staff.
Chaired by TAAN President Mr. Deepak Mahat, a number of trekking
agents operating groups to Tibet were present at the programme.
