A six-day Travel Photography Training kicked off at TAAN Secretariat in Maligaun on Sunday.
A total of 25 trekking professionals are participating in the training which is being conducted by Photo Journalists (PJ) Club Nepal. The training covers issues like camera handling, guest lecture, photo discussion, travel photography tips, social media handling (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram), and practical session and discussion on photos, and photo editing.
Inaugurating the training, TAAN General Secretary said he was hopeful that the training will equip trekking professionals with needful skills so that they can take beautiful pictures of areas that they visit when accompanying trekkers. "These pictures can be used for tourism promotion in national and international markets. Further, trekking professionals can hone their photography skills and find an alternative source for income generation," he added. "After completing this training, you can also handle specialized groups that come to Nepal for photography."
Similarly, Shital Chandra Dharel, Training & HR Coordinator of TAAN, said TAAN has been organizing series of training to enhance professionalism of human resources involved in trekking sector. He also said he was hopeful that the training would prove beneficial for all the participants.
TAAN has been organizing different training like SEO Training, First Aid Training, Outdoor Leadership Training, correspondence training, among others, on a regular basis to enhance skills of trekking professionals.
TAAN Executive Members Sarita Lama, Surya Bahadur Ghimire and Fulee Shrepa were also present in the program.
