TAAN, KEEP to jointly operate porter clothing centers

Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN) and Kathmandu Environmental Education Project (KEEP) are jointly operating porter clothing centers in Kathmandu and Lukla. The two organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect amid a ceremony held in Kathmandu on Friday. TAAN President Chandra Prasad Rijal and KEEP President Bimal Naharki signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. Trekking staff can take warm jacket, trouser and boot from the centers by paying only laundry fee. They will have to return the clothing and footwear to the center after the trek is completed. New executive committee of TAAN Pokhara assumes office

The newly elected executive committee of Trekking Agencies' Association of Nepal (TAAN) Western Regional Association Pokhara assumed office on Tuesday. Dambar KC, who is the former president of TAAN Pokhara and the coordinator of Election Committee, administered oath of office and secrecy to the new team led by President Deepak Raj Adhikari.
